There were two different Besiktas teams on the pitch against Denizlispor as they recorded a 3-2 win last time out. Until the sending off of Souza, they dominated the game, created many chances, and looked very solid at the back. But once they were reduced to 10-men, they collapsed and almost ended up dropping two points. Yalcin was too late to make changes, and some of the new arrivals, like Aboubakar and Ghezzal looked exhausted near the end of the game, which might explain why there was such a drastic drop in their performance. Against Malatyaspor, at home, they should be able to get another victory.

Clinical finishing brought Malatyaspor three points as they beat Genclerbirligi last time out. The game was a drab affair, with both sides playing with very slow tempo. Malatyaspor will defend very deep and in numbers here and hope for a draw. With the quality Besiktas boast in attack, they are unlikely to get a result.
